How to add photos and videos to an advertisement on Rightgun.uk

Adding high-quality photos and videos to your advertisement helps buyers clearly understand the condition, features, and overall presentation of your item. Well-presented media increases trust, engagement, and the likelihood of enquiries on Rightgun.uk.


Adding or updating photos and videos

Log in to your Rightgun.uk dashboard using your registered credentials.


Navigate to the relevant section based on what you are advertising:

  • Armoury for guns

  • Equipment, Ammunition, or Shooting for other listings


Open the advertisement you want to update. You can use:

  • Sidebar filters on desktop, or

  • The Filter button on mobile to quickly find your listing.


Edit the advertisement and access the media options:

  • For guns (Armoury):

    • Go to the Media section

    • Click Manage → Add photo to upload images

  • For equipment, ammunition, and shooting days:

    • Scroll down to the Photos section while editing the advert

    • Use the +Action button to add photos


Adding videos to your advertisement

Videos can be added to further showcase your item:

  • For guns, add videos within the Media section

  • For other items, add video links below the Photos section under Video


To add videos:

  • Paste the relevant video URLs

  • Separate multiple video links using commas


Once all photos and videos are added, click Save to apply the changes.


Previewing and updating media

To check how your advertisement appears to buyers:

  • Click Manage → View live or +Action → View live


If changes are needed:

  • Remove existing photos or videos

  • Upload new images or update video links

  • Save the information again to apply updates


Best practices for photos and videos

  • Use clear, well-lit images

  • Show multiple angles and important close-ups

  • Ensure videos are relevant and accurately represent the item

  • Avoid blurry, dark, or misleading media
